AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES IN SPEAKING ENGLISH AT TENTH GRADE OF SMA SWASTA NURUL IMAN TANJUNG MORAWA

This research is aimed to find out students’ difficulties in speaking English at tenth grade of SMA Swasta Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa. tried the English, cause and solution English. was used qualitative method. The respondent this students class X-IIS 3 that consist 10 students. chose by purposive sampling technique. data collected from observation, interview, questionnaire. questionnaire Linkert Scale consists 15 questions. result showed most have pronunciation, lack grammar, difficult memorize vocabulary, afraid speak, shy speak front class, not confidence, no motivation learning Furthermore, happened are motivation, shyness, anxiety, making mistakes. researcher also found namely needed condusive new strategies teachen when teaching teacher must give more knowledge for
